about

Fernanda is a Mexican graphic designer, photographer, and collage artist whose work is driven by creativity, design, and a constant curiosity for exploring the world. Throughout her career, she has cultivated a multidisciplinary practice that brings together graphic design, photography, and collage—three mediums through which she transforms ideas, emotions, and experiences into visual narratives.
Graphic Design
From an early age, Fernanda was drawn to art and visual communication. Comfortable with computers from childhood, she naturally gravitated toward digital creativity. While planning her high school graduation, she volunteered to design her class logo, an experience that revealed her passion for graphic design and ultimately shaped her professional path.
What fascinates her most about design is its limitless potential—the ability to transform an idea into a complete visual identity from the ground up. Whether through branding, editorial design, packaging, social media, or print, she enjoys the challenge of creating thoughtful, meaningful solutions. Today, graphic design remains the foundation of her creative practice and influences every aspect of her work. As Saul Bass said, "Design is thinking made visual."
Photography
Fernanda's passion for photography began at the age of thirteen, when she started borrowing her mother's camera during family trips. At sixteen, she received her first camera, which has accompanied her ever since, becoming an essential part of every journey.
What inspires her most is the idea that two people can stand before the same scene and create entirely different photographs. For her, photography is not simply about documenting reality, but about interpreting it through a personal perspective. She often describes her camera as her "third eye"—a tool that allows her to observe details, emotions, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Whether photographing landscapes, wildlife, portraits, or everyday life, she believes every image has the power to preserve both memory and emotion. As Ansel Adams famously said, "You don't take a photograph; you make it."
Collage
Collage had always been present in Fernanda's imagination, though it wasn't until 2019 that she fully embraced it as part of her artistic practice. What began as collecting discarded magazines evolved into a therapeutic creative process, initially combining imagery with motivational phrases.
Over time, her work shifted away from text, focusing instead on constructing surreal visual narratives born from her imagination. The transition from analog to digital collage expanded her creative possibilities while maintaining the same meticulous, puzzle-like process of assembling each composition. Through both techniques, she creates imaginary worlds that invite viewers to see beyond the obvious. As Brian Vaszily wrote, "See what others don't see. Then show it. That's creativity."
Creative Philosophy
Whether through graphic design, photography, or collage, Fernanda's work is rooted in observation, storytelling, and exploration. Each discipline complements the others, allowing her to translate ideas, memories, and emotions into visual experiences. Constantly inspired by travel, nature, and human connection, she continues to explore new ways of seeing the world—and inviting others to see it through her eyes.
